Lady Lyresse Erindelle Bede (a.k.a. Lady Bede)
Lyressa Bede is the half-elven governer of Last Hope.
Although she was still a child when her parents died, she carries on both their legacies in her firm but fair approach to governership, whilst also ensuring that a significant portion of the town's profits go towards the restoration of the Temple of the Sun Maiden.
Well aware of the threat of the Soulstone which lies within the hills close to town, Lyressa has increased the town's garrison and border patrols to do all she can to ensure the safety of the townsfolk and the traders who ply the roads between Last Hope and the Capitol, three hundred miles to the south-east.
To that end, she has established the Last Hope Mercenary Company, an outfit she has given command of to Sir Fenros Callister, her most trusted military adviser. Lyressa hopes the Company -- and the sizeable stipend it offers to anyone willing to take up a weapon in the town's defence -- will bolster the forces of her town and help to repel the demonic forces that have threatened to eradicate Last Hope from the map since The Surge.

Personal history
Doubly stricken by the deaths of her mother and father in consecutive years of her youth, Lyressa has never quite got over the sadness she felt as a child.
Aided by Sir Fenros Callister, she took the mantle of governer of Last Hope following the death of her father. Skilled in tact and diplomacy, she became a well respected and admired leader, both by the townsfolk who sought shelter within the settlement's walls, and the traders who travelled to and from town.
Following the events of The Purge, Lyressa has been forced to take a more active role in the town's military defences.
Education
Sir Fenros Callister schooled the young Lyressa in martial arts, whilst Cyrandele Il'Roth taught her of the ways of the Sun Maiden.
