Blackwell, the first councilwoman

Physical

Blackwell is around 1.60cm tall, with dark skin dotted with white dots, like all the members of her family. She is strong and athletic. Her eyes are dark and penetrating, many saying this is her most attractive feature. Her hair is brown, but not as dark as her eyes. It's normally collected with a net. If left free-floating, it can give her something similar to an aura.

Who was she?

She was a member of an old merchant family. Her family and others have been systematically sidelined on the biggest contracts since the occupation and funnelled into minor administrative positions.

What was her profesion?

To be able to prosper, she faced the choice to emigrate to other cities or settle for some minimal position in the growing bureaucracy. But she loved the city and quickly grow bored of the administrative position. Instead, she chose to illegally explore and exploit the ruins around the peninsula, she had the connections to make it legal, but she enjoyed doing it illegally, sneaking the finds and using contraband for her gains.

Why is she important

During one of her explorations, she found a ruin, it showed signals of recent occupation but it wasn't guarded at that time. Inside a machine was humming with power. she knew she has found something important and decided to investigate further. Her investigation drew the attention of the conspiracy. A few members ambushed her, with the intention of silencing her investigations.
At that point, she has pieced enough information together to know who these people were, the last remnant of the resistance against the royals. She expose her case, the ruins would be discovered by someone, as they did not have the means to have them covered. Their best bet was to take control of other areas of the bureaucracy, to cover their tracks. Her charisma and small reputation in contraband were convincing enough to give her a meeting with others.

The beginning of the councill

After a few meetings and some hushed plans, she manage to organize a meeting between some members of the conspiracy and a few more members of the old merchant families, whom she knew were also unhappy with the situation. After this first meeting, she went back to the city and started to work hard into her position, breaking out into the politics to ensure, her new friends would start getting in position.

A stroke of luck: searching in the forestl

It was popular knowledge, that many refugees fleed to the forest, after the royals arrived. So she convinced some of her new friends into conducting a search for them. Not many were interested, as the forest is unwelcoming and those who fleed were considered dead, but in the first search party, they cross paths with a search party. This group after taking some assurance, accepted to deliver the message to other groups in the area.
