Personal history

Sigefert grew up in a small family with a single sister Aether with his parents Mildred and Osbeorn in Flint. Both Osbeorn and Mildred work together in a blacksmith collective that is primarily dragonborn and at this point more of an extended clan and collection of 5 families that work on a variety of projects throughout the city. The Flamberg as the collective is known covers things from industrial construction projects to fine delicate pieces of clockwork.   Childhood and much of his apprenticeship years were spent in and around the Flamberg where he found some passions not only working with and building firearms as well as piecing together complex problems. Even with the passion and aptitude for working with and on firearms Sig found a true calling in digging into mysteries and unraveling complex webs.

Education

Educated primarily within the Flamberg by the various masters. When Sig started picking on odd occurrences and stopped a few minor crimes around the Flamberg apprenticeship with a local detective was also setup. Following along with Inspector Adrian Lestrad they were able to work through many mysteries as more of community service tasks than as official cases of the Constabulary.

Tower Assault

After successfully taking the tower we turned around to figure out how to defend it for the time needed between opening it and when the ships would make it into the harbor and be able to assist us. Aeldrith and Sig set about to do some rather conventional barricade work while Mairi and Eoghan were working to setup a few surprises on the approach and the landing. We set about to open the doors and send up our magical flare and hunkered down behind our barriers. While we were able to take some prisoners on our initial assault and the others were able to cause some pause in the attack, it did get joined and in earnest. Sig got of a prodigious number of shots and ended the encounter with the use of his flame breath, Aeldreth worked to shore up some barricades before jumping into the fray, Mairi and Eoghan mostly stayed back some taking down their share of the traitors with bow and spell.   The reinforcements arrived and swept into the protected harbor with almost no wake much to our surprise and impressment. The docks area was taken swiftly as well as the walls all along the inside of the fortress. The inner starfort with it's hedge maze however still loomed large.

Off to a Hell of a Start

Starting out under fire the group kept it's collective cool and was able to talk down the individual, Nicholas du Pierre who was shooting at us and using some interesting magical items to attack. Thankfully talking him down without too much pain and recovering another medal like the ones he was wearing/using. Mairii was able to identify the medals as something from an age long past. Three golden icons, one of Nem (shadow), Urem (stone), and Avalona (air).   We were able to take a rest, get some info from Nicholas and set Burton's leg. From there were able to move to the closest village where Aeldreth was able to talk to some ghosts, and found that most of the villagers were taken to the fortress. Moving to the next village found much the same, though there was a group of villagers that tried to stand up to them...but were not successful.   We got to the ruins and encountered a group of the Duchesses soldiers. We were able to find and talk to Licette and convince her that we were here to liberate the island and stop a war. Hopefully she can be of use.

We have desks!

The week started off great, we settled into our desks, shared that they were in the office before we get called into a meeting in Stover's office. There we meet Lya Jierre, Danor's Minister of Outsiders who had a puzzle for us. It was consisted of three towers and three rings, the rings were magnetic and had 3 pieces of string attached. The solution was to make it so that you could rearrange the three towers and rings in such a way that the strings from each of the rings could contact one of the towers without intersecting another of the lines using direct paths from the rings to the towers. The solution that we came up with was to socket one of the rings around one of the towers putting the three towers in a line and then the other two rings to the left and right of the line. After completing the puzzle Jierre complimented us and said we may have a chance after all with this. Then came our mission brief.   The Duchess and her allies had taken control of an island in the Verasol Archipelago and secured the fort there. If we were not able to eject her within 4 days then Danor would have no option but to declare war in Risur. There was a small task force with marines to help us retake the fort with overwhelming numbers but our task was to infiltrate the island and open the sea doors that would allow the marines to enter with a reasonable level of surprise. While there is an upside that the engineer of the fort, Luciette Debois is likely still on the island somewhere we are not sure we are going to have enough to find them to assist. Lya also asked a personal request that if possible to see to the safety of their cousin Nathan who is on the island.   We were brought into a sea cave with another group, Team Zero who would be going with us. Burning 2 of our days in transit we make it to the island and begin infiltration with Team Zero going in first underwater to secure a line for us to follow. Unfortunately when we went to follow the line jerked and went to slack. When we went to follow we found all of them under singular or multiple boulders. Aeldreth was able to save Burton but none of the others who were under multiple large rocks. We made it into the cave and came up to look at Burton who was in bad shape when we were fired upon.

Fight in the Furnace

Things below decks heat up with 2 engineers, Soltana and Iltan over stoking the furnace, throwing in a fire elemental gem and using pickled rust monster tentacles to try to blow up the ship. Eoghan comes up to the top deck to get Sig and Aeldreth who speed downstairs while Mairi does her best to keep things from boiling over. Mairi is able to get the elemental gem out of the furnace while Aeldreth, Eoghan, and Sig are able to get into the fray and are able to take the two engineers captive but Soltana and Iltan are taken down. Aeldreth and Sig start to shovel out the firegems from the furnace while Mairi and Eoghan work to get some loyal engineers down and able to help look at the engines. The designer Geoff was able to join us with a pair of his other men and we were able to get things under control and things cleaned up. Delft came looking for us and we did a quick debrief while the fireworks and the anthem finished on the top of the ship.   The King's speech was looking to try to seek out peace and a true treaty conference to stem aggressions. While this was generally well accepted by the group present, the Duchess's allies and some of the vets were showing concerns. After his speech the King arranged for us to have a private reception with him.   On getting back to shore we were given several days of reduced duty, yet the next day we were all back in the office doing interviews and filing a copious amount of paperwork. Spirit Mediums were dispatched to the sight of the incident on a ship to interview those who passed. There were also some rumblings that members of the Unseen court may demand more in exchange for their silence on matters in the future. Progress always comes with cost.

A Simple Tour

The simple tour, escorting the King and a few VIPs through part of the city to the new flagship for a speech and a two hour tour started simple enough. Of course it didn't go that simple but what in life ever does. The adoring crowds weren't exactly as adoring as advertised and the our small detachment started on crowd control trying to pick out specific elements out of the crowd. Everyone was playing to their strengths, Mairi and Eoghan doing the smooth talking, Aeldreth laying out some simple truths and me on overwatch. Several dock workers were pulled out of the crowd and after talking to their leader we were able to diffuse the situation. The cost, passing on a reasonable message to Governor Stanfield about some concerns down at the docks. Working conditions and length of the working day along with extra attention being paid by the constabulary is causing some tension that is set to boil over.   We were able to get His Majesty and company onboard and the sail started. We made it out to the Ayres islands with little affair and the King about to make his speech. Below decks however, things are stirring...

Run to the jungle

Four of us were brought together by Assistant Chief Inspector Stover Delves to track down and capture Rory Jerrard, his accomplice Pleasance (druid) and the group of troopers that he had recruited to his "cause". Rory had made a name for himself after the war though mostly as a voice in opposition to the King's modernization projects. The group has been hiding out in the jungle, and ambushing trains. They would break any of the more modern weaponry found within and take the fire gems with them.   Taking the train out to the jungle Aeldreth was able to track down the group. Some expert stealth work by Mairi and Eoghan was able to scout out the group and let myself and Aeldreth get in close. A minor skirmish ensued which left on of the troopers dead but finding all of the others captured. The fire gems recovered a train was flagged down and the prisoners brought in.
