Kala Offers Aid to Eldurgrund Empire

The offer of aid to the Eldurgrund Empire from the Oligarchy of Kala: a surprising decision, given historical conflicts.

As Trinen was overtaken by The Rembrandtic Wars  , the early years of the conflict saw little resolution in sight, nor was it clear who the victor may be. While the affairs of distant humans weighed little on most J'barri, the relatively new Oligarchy of Kala sought to provide the Eldurgrund Empire with support in exchange for reparations of past behavior. While Kala had plenty of ships, weapons, armor, and an ideal trade position for the Elduri, they asked for "too much" in return.   As many well-learned scholars in Laminarum history may have already guessed, the oligarchy would request the humans to slowly begin returning the brass and bronze fire magic weapons of ancient J'barri culture. Given that humanity possessed over 99% of all fire magic weapons at this time, it only seemed natural that they be returned to their original crafters. Unfortunately for Kala, Eldurgrund would decline, claiming that it was the weapons that would win them the war and control the territory they conquered.   Disappointed, the J'barri would discontinue efforts to regain their weapons for the foreseeable future. Even now, they remembered the tragedy of The Mountainfold  and merely wished to get dangerous weapons away from those that would use them haphazardly (or so they claimed). In the years to come, The Eldurgrund Empire would fall to history as the Saltkrigere prevailed, but perhaps things could have gone differently with such a powerful ally in the J'barri.
