Verivem-Snowhammer Territory Wars

The series of wars between the Cult of Verivem and the Snowhammer Raiders to claim the territory East of the Starfall Crater.

When the cult of Verivem grew to good strength and had received plenty of visions and new ideas from their demonic patron, they grew a thirst for expansion. Unfortunately for them, the Snowhammer Raiders, led by the Warlord Rolf Snowhammer, were just expanding South from the Icelends, hoping to take territory from Eldergrund. The battles between the two groups would be bloody, putting dark magic against steel.   The wars ended with Rolf's men being flayed across the slaving roads, and the Snowhammers retreating to the Icelends, failing to gain any territory regardless of the years of progress. The Cult of Verivem flourished with their new territory, and established a few settlements in their new lands, and eventually appointed a warlord of their own, now that they had the confidence to take what they wanted.   As a result of this loss, the remaining Snowhammers hid in the Icelends, adapting to the harshness of these greater winters as best they could. Before long, they let exiled civilians from the larger cities join their fold, and fell to worship the new gods they spoke of. Typically, these individuals were outcasts for worshipping their gods, but fortune had treated them well so far if they had managed to survive this dark age. The first of these "gods" would be Milin Orphi, the long-feared Devil of Depravity.
