The destruction of Thiff by the Marsh Orcs and Kaban. In the escape of Thiff's forces to Gullivegur, they were asked to pay a toll at the walls. This deceit was punished by Eldurgrund.

The slow war was creeping by as the Western Elves were draining their Waning Rock against the Saltkrigere at the river forts. Without unlimited access due to the loss of the proximal bay, the Westerners were cautious in their use. Exhausted by the slow back and forth, Eyiliv sought a distraction against the Eastern forces.   He gave word to Kadelkonatl that it would be the best time to take Thiff. Without any potential ships to aid the city, it would surely fall. The siege began almost immediately, with the Kaban being sent via the Quai with small shipments of Waning Rock. The rocks were used by the Kaban. It was effective in dispatching large numbers at once, though the Kaban using it generally died in the process without the proper training. The Marsh Orcs acted as fodder but managed to strike enough fear to make the Tara-Jhen flee. Largely though, they fully expected Kadelkonatl to follow the attack forces, which never occurred.   The fleeing Tara-Jhen went to seek harbor in Gullivegur, but were turned away. The Baron-regent of the city requested a toll and threatened to fire arrows upon any that entered otherwise. Without anywhere else to go, the civilians of Thiff were forced to camp in the Marsh, which many of them had never had to do before.   Gullivegur was eventually scolded by Eldergrund. The Baron-regent was beheaded and the Thiffins were allowed into the city. Further, the Gidofem of Thiff was placed as the new Baron-regent.   Kadelkonatl continued to have his throne on Krakan Bower. He was disappointed in Broodmother Vetheres and her inability to hold Jerborg against Eldurgrund, but he offered her another chance at deliverance by sitting on the throne of Thiff.
