Disaster / Destruction
A year of famine and tragedy brought upon the Yunbad, pushing them towards drastic survival actions.
The Yunbad lived minimalist lives. They lived anywhere the predators weren't, but being vegetarian made mountain life difficult. They knew legends of a people that farmed animals rather than plants, but the Yunbad couldn't comprehend how someone could have enough land for such a farm. Eventually, the Yunbad started running out of food, and a dry year meant it wouldn't grow back. To make matters worse, the 40 massive water basins they used collapsed, causing rivers of water to pour into the grasslands below, eroding the natural landscapes. The mass famine resulted in some individuals converting to scavenging and eating the bodies of dead animals. This was frowned upon but did not result in banishment due to the dire circumstances. Throughout the hardship, most turned their frustrations to Heime, the high priest of Udundst. Seemingly unable to assign a definite purpose to their struggles, his position was in question until The Yunbad Pilgrimage to Hawumad.
