Urale Funds the Construction of Buoy

Construction beginning/end

1536
1548

The funding of the political nightmare settlement known as Buoy. While its early days promised increased naval capabilities for the kindgom, its rapid decline would create the pirate hub we know today.

Upon reaching a new golden age of invention and modernization, western ambition would reach a new high. National pride and desire to control nature would lead to great innovations with Waning Rock magic and engineering. One of these feats was the construction of "Buoy," an artificial island settlement west of the Caripreet Sea. The construction would take years, as well as a labor pact with the Dwarves of Roinegilar. While its construction was certainly a feat, its original purpose is indecipherable given its political push and pull. Between desires of political advancement, colonization, and scientific discovery, the outlook of the island fell dark for its inhabitants.   After years of construction, lack of reimbursement for dwarvish labor, and lack of communication with the island's new inhabitants, riots would see the political presence at Buoy wiped away. There have been two attempts to recover the territory since, but its lawless inhabitants have always come out on top.
