Veirun (vey-ruun)

Veirun, god of ale and wine, was one of the most well-respected gods prior to the globalization of the dwarves. At the time though, she did not fall under the title of "ale and wine," as the only alcohol the dwarves could come across was from fermented, frozen berries above ground. These were often consumed in their solid form, where they were a common side in dwarvish meals.    The influence of fermentation over the dwarves was far-reaching, across every age and status. This naturally gave way to worship over the god that gifted this holy substance to the dwarves. She is a common sight at wineries but is not simply a patron of the overindulgent. Given that dwarves view alcohol as a spiritual substance for its allowance of brevity and communication among both friends and enemies, Veirun is held in high respect by the dwarves that the The Augury likely can't understand.
