Gates of Vast ((vost))
The Gates of Vast, a magnificent creation of Vestergil and the Snow Rock people, is one of the greatest wonders of the world. Intended as a massive divider between the Isles and outside threats, it would also served to keep out fleets and increasingly aggressive megafauna. The Gates, being so massive, would only ever open three times in their lifespan. Today, it has been so long that many architects believe it would collapse if opened today. Though it was rarely opened, it did serve a valuable purpose, and protected the people of the Snow Rock Isles from Kadelkonatl and his hypnotized sea beasts.
Due to their size and retirement, the Gates serve as an interesting set piece for the people of the Isles. It serves as a bridge between Logrvast and Gelvast but is also used as a place of trade, military placement, and small towns scattered across it.
