Aza Kora (Ozz-ah Core-ah)

The Aza Kora are hatchlings from a batch of Korahaman eggs, harvested from the rocky Shellbay isles after the ending of Kaban slavery. They were provided by the Augury in hopes of creating a firm alliance with the new free people.
The term simply means "Kora Eggs" and they serve as a significant cornerstone of modern kaban culture. The eggs began to hatch sometime after being relocated, and the small hatchlings resemble box turtles. Each tribe has one of the Aza Kora and a batch of eggs, as a way to connect them to their culture. The kaban currently lack an Elder in the formal sense, and the Aza Kora help fulfill the spiritual needs of the kaban while the eldest kaban of the villages deal in politics and foreign relations.
