Storough

Storough is one of the oldest towns in Ysward. When the former Kings of Ysward first carved out their lands from the wilderness, they gave out parcels to their followers to hold, protect, and develop. Storough was one of the first of those tracts given out. The Storough family still rules this town and the lands around it. They claim that they are even distantly related to the first King of Ysward, and are therefore royal themselves, but since the incorporation into the Empire, they have settled for the title of Count and Countess. It is said their castle has never be taken while a Storough is in residence, delicately worded that way to get around the fact that the family fled during the Great Fallen Incursion.
