Mapoint

The second largest city of Ysward, Mapoint sits on the banks of the Abrovil River north of the capital of Soutliht. Mapoint was once the capital of the Kingdom of Ysgard, but once Soutliht became prominent, the capital was moved there. This left the Count of Mapoint with a castle and palace fit for a king. Many old and wealthy families still live here, and there have been several Counts of Mapoint that had to have their ambition checked by the Duke's of yore. There is an old saying that goes "If the Duke sneezes, the Count of Mapoint tries on a crown."
