Resolutions and Articles 2024
Happy New Year, everyone!
Resolutions and articles ahead! Along with this one, I also wrote a "My Achievements" article, to go with what I plan to accomplish in the new year. I think looking back and highlighting what went well is important. I usually dwell on what failed, what I did not manage to complete, and that's not how I need to start the new year.
I need to encourage myself.
Articles
My list of ten articles!Goblins
Blue Fairy 74 beuatifully lays out articles. Nothing feels crowded, it just flows.Goblins2
The animation of goblins parading out from the side was awesome. I watched it several times (yep, I am easily amused).Inkspreaders
I loved the image of dancing tattoos. I imagine some wondrous art and music follows the visits of Inkspreaders, after they have inspired audiences.Wickroot
Love the dark mystery vibe of this article. Everything works together to create an unsettling experience.Library
Library blueprint put me right back into my art history studies. I loved the feel of an expansive book vault that stayed with me while I read.Resolutions
This was a fantastic and inspiring read. Not only is the CSS great, but the in-depth numbers made me rethink my own resolution entry. Wonderful to be inspired by someone so productive.Bunnies
There is always something unsettling and mysterious about Colonel101's creatures.Lamps
I loved the bright, cheery colors of the featured image. It really made the article on magic lamps seem magical.A Letter
Lyrical and poignant, it explores grief and how one person found something to soothe it.Manomancy
What I'm really delving into articles for is inspiration for a dark, spookier theme. This one qualifies, but it also had a drop-down article TOC and I really want to add something similar to my stuff.Resolutions!
I did not get these accomplished in 2023, so now they’re on my to-do list for 2024!
- The Abyss of Dreams: Wellspring Dragons Book 4 being published
- Revamps of LoN and Evenacht sites
- Starting a storefront
- Print editions of Wellspring Dragons
- Finishing my Evenacht intro video
- Start editing/revamping Wellspring Dragons Book 5, working title Unexpected Journeys
- Continue the bi-weekly publishing schedule for Broken Dulcet and Greenglimmer
- Take breaks when I need them!!!
- Try to create and follow a creation calendar, to fit in everything I want to do. I tend to do what I feel like at that point, and sometimes stuff gets shoved to the back burner when I need to focus on it
- Draw more
- Get more videos out there
- Another attempt at audiobooks
- Continue journey into learning 3D art
- Try to be more social on social, do more reshares, write comments
- Be positive about my work–yes, people do read it!

I really like the way this was laid out. Nice and to the point, and some great articles were reviewed there on your reading list. I can completely sympathise with positivity moving into the new year with things that were not achieved in 2023, I found my checklist from last year a few days ago and pretty much hadn't done any of it! Does sound like you've got a real busy year ahead, and I wish you all the luck with it and look forward to seeing more updates on my notifications throughout! :)
Thank you :) Changing the mindset behind resolutions is sort of difficult for me; I'm too used to being negative about what I didn't accomplish. But if I look at it as just another chance to complete them, it's better. And may your year be productive and creative.
