Articles that inspired:
I liked the poetry a lot. I think the idea of humans as changable and able to become better than they are, while gods are stuck in their ruts of power and can never be more, but can certainly become less, is an interesting one.
The formating on the article was awesome. I love parallax layouts. I've wanted to do something similar with one of my worlds, but I'm not CSS guru enough to accomplish it. At least I know it's possible on World Anvil now.
I'm always interested in how other authors divide their years, and naming conventions.
Articles about robots, cyborgs and the like give me inspiration for the khentauree in Lapis of Nicodem. Everyone has their own unique take, and Colonel 101 has gone the creepy route; the intro pic sets the stage for the rest of the article being very creepy.
Another unique way at looking at mechanical beings and how they interact with the world.
I liked the formating on this one. Artgalles has a landscape in the background and the text scrolls over it, a nice effect. I thought about how I could use the same thing, with a city in the background.
Quite the description of a end-of-times cult. I don't think I'd want to meet up with any of them. They seem the terrifying sort.
I liked the idea of an ice bite; I liked the image that went with it even more. The medieval feel to it reminded me of tapestries and book illustrations.
The Dark can be a scary place...or a scary thing. One of the things that scared me most about the movie Candyman was the fact the lead could see him, but no one else could. That's the sick feeling I got reading this.
Morgan's been an inspiration to me for years--and now she's on WA! She's writing a new, gut-wrenching dark fantasy/fantasy horror serial.
Resolutions:
I was a bit too ambitious last year, and did not complete many of my resolutions. So we'll see how this works out.
- Continue with the Lapis of Nicodem series. Will finish Book 3 and head to Book 4.
- Continue with Evenacht. Will finish Book 1 and head to Book 2, Greenglimmer.
- Finish Shadows over Tindrel 2nd edition editing, then get all three Wellspring Dragons 2nd edition books published. Am looking at places other than Amazon, though I might end up back there. It's hard, though, because I see author abuses and I don't want to support the corp that does so, but Amazon has the greatest share of readers. Bleah.
- The Abyss of Dreams: Wellspring Dragons Book 4 is in the 3rd/4th draft stage. I want to get it published by October 2023.
- Finish Evenacht world intro video. It stars Mikella and Death!
- Revamp Wellspring Dragons world yet again. Allow myself to explore interesting layouts and perhaps rewrite articles, rather than try to stick to a typical wiki presentation.
- Maybe try a zine for Wellspring on the characters, but if I do, it'll only be in PDF.
- Refresh Lapis of Nicodem. My honey pointed out that the series is kind of distopian, because it's showing the collapse of tech on Theyndora, which will have huge repercussions on the future of the Dentherion Empire. I might change the look to be more dark future-y.
- Create new images and articles for all the worlds.
- Try to keep up with my blog. I'm really not a bloggy type person, though, so we'll see how well that works out.
- Learn Unreal Engine 5.x so I can make landscapes for my worlds. Learn Menyr when it comes out, because I like the interactive aspect and plan to use it in my worlds.
Good luck with your exciting goals for the year! :D
Thank you :) I'll definitely need it!
