Tiamat, the Dragon of Chaos

Wings unbound and and claws untethered from this existence. Relish in your freedom, and tear apart anything you like.

The Five-Headed Dragon

Tiamat is the goddess of chromatic dragons, the goddess of deceit, destruction, and chaos, and one of the three dragon gods who rule atop the Obsidian Mountain, the other two Essingetarix and Bahamut. At the dawn of Brinomir, Bahamut and Tiamat were made, husband and wife meant to maintain the Cosmigod's law. They were the prismatics. But, because of the Cosmic War, both Bahamut and Tiamat were driven to different extremes, and his metallic force and her chromatic brood sprung forth. Then, Bahamut and Tiamat existed in an eternal struggle against the other, one trying to drive life into an iron-fisted land of judgement, the other seeking to decimate it all entirely.   Tiamat embodies bloodshed and anarchy. Legend says she remains locked away behind the Prismatic Seal in the Obsidian Mountain, and in times when her seal is broken, it signifies a coming of great calamity. A five-headed monstrosity, Tiamat tempts mortals into casting aside their conscience and building their own, such that authority would always butt heads with authority and result in climactic desolation.   Tiamat is often prayed to by cults in times when good runs free or when despotic leaders choke the people's will; they are prayers Tiamat's seal would be broken so she may soar and topple all semblance of authority and usher in a new era of extreme chaos.

Dwelling

Tiamat lurks deep inside the Obsidian Mountain, sealed behind the famed Prismatic Seal. Souls driven to complete insanity are snatched by her from the Veil where they are transformed into the horrid abishai that spread terror across Brinomir.

Domains

Tiamat represents the following domains:   War. Tiamat seeks complete destruction, and she yearns for it to take place on the grandest, bloodiest scale possible. Her deepest followers promote open terrorism wherever they go.   Trickery. There is nothing more destructive than a lie. Those who follow Tiamat bend the truth in the most nefarious ways that can be thought of.

Alignment

Tiamat represents the following alignments:   Chaotic. The divine law that once flowed in Tiamat's veins have been lost. All that is left is an insatiable lust for power and desolation.   Evil. Tiamat's insanity is far from anything good. She works to destroy any and all life for the sake of lavishing in the power she possesses. Followers often participate in live sacrifices to celebrate the destruction she spreads.

Symbol

The common unholy symbol used to represent Tiamat is a jagged star of the five chromatic colors.

Epic Boons

For her most devoted followers, below are some of the unique boons Tiamat can bestow.

Boon of the Devastator

This is a common boon granted by Tiamat to her champion followers. While you possess this boon, you can use your action to target a 20-foot square of ground and call down a desolating blast. Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, suffering 8d6 fire damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a success. For the next minute the targeted ground becomes burned. When a creature starts their turn in this area or moves into it on their turn while it is burned, they suffer 1d6 fire damage.   You can use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.

Boon of the Prince of Chaos

While you possess this boon, you can cast enemies abound (DC 15) without using a spell slot or any material components. You can use this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier. You regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.

Boon of the Chromatic

While you possess this boon, a portion of your body transforms and takes on a distinct draconic appearance. Your creature type changes to a dragon. You choose the chromatic draconic ancestry associated with you from the dragonborn's Draconic Ancestry trait and gain its damage resistance and breath weapon. In addition, you gain a fly speed equal to your base walking speed.
