In times when I approach, rejoice and prepare for my arrival. In times when I am here, prepare and be ready for the day I leave.

The Xiao-Ti God

Shui is the yuan-ti serpent god of prosperity, clarity, and brilliance. Within the universe of Brinomir, he is one among the Three Serpents, Tilesh and Sirakya being the other two. Together they are three beings but one mind, as they have continually existed throughout time, flowing with the natural path of mortality and taking turns ruling over each other based on the state of the realms. In times of uncertainty and descent, Sirakya rules. In times of evil and war, Tilesh rules. And in times of greatness and goodness, Shui rules.   During the Cosmic War, the three each formed their own kind, using them to help manipulate mortals and guarantee their own rule. They were known as the Yuan-Ti. Of Tilesh were the Qing-Ti, of Sirakya the Ao-Ti, and of Shui the Xiao-Ti.   Shui represents a land's golden age, where its people are given to filial piety, honor, and joy. He is king over the other serpents in lands that reflect this and honor him, until the day its spirit dies and Sirakya takes over. When it ultimately falls into the embrace of even Tilesh, mortal fate will deliver that people back into Shui's rule, and he will rule again.

Dwelling

Shui rules with Tilesh and Sirakya within the Tower of Scales in the Veil, a divine place within Yuan-Ti lore. Righteous souls in the veil are taken by Shui, where they are made into powerful serpent spirits who do his will.

Domains

Shui represents the following domains:   Light. Shui adores goodness, ingenuity, and progress among a unified people. His truest followers live to uphold these tenets, forming close-knit, familial communities.   Zeal. Destituteness, apathy, and lack of motivation are anathema to the Infinite Serpent. Life is to be lived, things done, memories made, and intelligence developed.

Alignments

Shui represents the following alignments:   Neutral. Honor can take many shapes. One day, honor is refusing a gift despite many offers. Another day, honor is accepting a gift after many offers. Law is only what others make it, so long as it is carefully discussed and maintained.   Good. The Infinite Serpent detests any mortal sin, be it greed or murder, and even laziness, for it is all what Sirakya and Tilesh rule by.

Symbol

The common holy symbol used to represent Shui is a Chui medallion, a circular object depicting a white, grey, and black area. The white segment is pointed upward when honoring Shui.

When the fight is over and the villain is gone, let it not be our excuse to lie down and sleep away our peace. Rather, let this be our opportunity to press on in the path of life, unimpeded as we build grand things and live even grander lives.

Epic Boons

For his most devoted followers, below are some of the unique boons Shui can bestow.

Boon of the Xiao-Ti-Wang

This is a common boon granted by Shui to his champion followers. While you possess this boon, a portion of your body transforms and takes on a distinct serpentine appearance. Your creature type changes to a serpent. In addition, your Charisma score increases by 3, as does your maximum for that score.

Boon of the Cobra Prince

While you possess this boon, you can use a bonus action to transform yourself into a yuan-ti abomination for the next minute, using the rules of the Wild Shape Druid class feature, except you retain your languages during this time. You can't transform this way again until after you finish a long rest.

Boon of the Serpent Whisperer

While you possess this boon, you can cast command (DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any material components.
