Sho Ce

I deliver anything into my lord's hands without recourse.
~ Sho Ce ~

Golden Ring Officer

Sho Ce was an officer underneath Zhang Tao in Dachi during the rise of the Golden Ring Rebellion. A former Xing Mountain bandit, he became a student under Zhang Tao, the governor of Quwu, when he and many others — at the time in holding as prisoners — were acquitted by Tao shortly after the rebellion began to grow. Ce was gracious, and also greatly influenced by the prospects of this way of peace.   As Tao's subordinate, Ce was made responsible for recruiting and gathering to their cause as many as he could. After Tao and his sworn brothers were forced to unleash the rebellion when the Coalition of Jin was formed, Sho Ce convinced Tao to muster a force to advance east where his younger brother, Sho Fo was being held as Ce had been. Together, they snuck word in to Sho Fo and his companions, being held inside the Jinchun Prison at Changfen, and helped establish a prison break.   However, only a day after departing, Sho Ce received the news that Fo and the others had been killed in the prison escape. He wept bitterly and wished utter death upon his killers.   If you are a player in The Warring Heavenstates, do not look at this until after December 6th.

Battle of Changfen

A defense was mustered to protect the town upon Tao and Ce's arrival with their numbers. Sho Ce convinced Tao to extend an offer of surrender first, but its governor, Gao Qian, dutifully refused. Zhang Tao left Sho Ce in charge of leading the vanguard to attack Changfen, but despite the overwhelming assault, he was defeated and cut down, leaving Tao and his remaining forces to retreat back to Quwu.
