The Forzacci Folio of Radiant Mastery

Though each master of the radiant arts must walk their own path to enlightenment, they do not always have to ascend the mountain without a guide. During the Age of Radiant Dawn, the mystic Alfonse Forzacci interviewed a number of Radiant Champions to discuss the exercises and meditations they used during their advancements. From these extensive discussions, Forzacci cataloged an impressive list of methods that seemed to dramatically reduce the amount of time it took a person to reach the next level of radiant mastery.
To prove the value of his work, Forzacci adhered to the training regimen he had uncovered and quickly achieved several mastery levels.His success did not go unnoticed, and soon Forzacci was inundated with requests for copies of his folio. After employing a small army of scribes, Forzacci soon became startlingly wealthy. 
Unfortunately for Forzacci, his willingness to sell his work to anyone able to afford it led to his ultimate downfall.The nobles who had been so eager to buy copies of the folio for themselves quickly discovered its efficacy. Members of their household shot through one level after another. This led to an arms race of sorts, with lesser families trying to push themselves to new heights to keep up with the greater families. This, in turn, led to various guilds buying the folio for their members, which led to law enforcement procuring copies for themselves.
The ensuing chaos and destructive battles between the empowered groups finally forced the hand of the Radiant Champions. They seized and destroyed every copy of the folio they could get their hands on to prevent further spread of the techniques. It is believed that the Champions also killed Alfonse Forzacci, though they claim he simply fled into the Warrens to continue his research out of sight and mind of his competitors and former patrons.
If a copy of the true folio was ever found, it would fetch a princely sum. More importantly, whoever laid hands on it could use it to quickly become a power in Kunrai.
