As the first living creatures rose from the waters, so did the Atva and Kunri wake, having all the knowledge of flora, fauna, and survival. The knew not where they came from, but they knew their role was to guide and teach all living things.
The first winter claimed thousands of souls, and the Teachers wept, realizing the limitations of their power. None hurt more than Ohashi, the second head of the Joyous. He cried, and then he sang. Underneath his favorite tree, now barren. He sang the first sad song of the world, the forests and mountains his chorus. Since then, Ohashi has only ever sung in minor. Unbeknownst to them, when all of Mother's Valley joined in his song, they created something, or opened a door to it. A realm connected, a realm where the flowers, trees, and animals could come to play for all time, as spirits.
With most living things now able to reproduce, the vast waters of Ku’Eza stopped creating them. While some springs, lakes, and other water sources still hold life energy, none of them are creating.
Mortals began to see the Atva & Kunri as more than they are, and in turn made them into something more.
As the Atva & Kunri began to understand their new power, they discovered they could now give power to their most favored or devoted.
Nareema, one of the few unchanged Atva, taught her followers how to help the wilds of nature, not granting them magic, but teachinng it.
As most mortals grew evermore independent, the Atva and Kunri began to live lives of their own, and found that they too could have families, and even children. These beings of unrestricted power, became known as The Isha. However, there was no way of knowing what could become of them. Some were born as monsters, others as powerful spirits, some simply developed powers as they aged. Truly, the Isha were more powerful than their parents.
In the wake of the monster’s endless rampages, the ferrymen failed to collect every released soul. These souls, lost in the material plane, grew envious and hateful, and their hate twisted them, bringing them back to flesh, but as fiends. They joined the monsters in their destruction of the living.
The Isha, beings born with unknown and unrestricted power, now had children of their own, and these children were different from mortal children. They had power as well. Not all but many, those that honed and refined this power to avoid destroying themselves, became known as Sorcerers.
Indvolu, now with the power of his new domain, capable of unknowable power, found the original fracture he had made in The Glass, and broke it further, causing a storm on the material plane in the process. He stepped out into The Material Plane with his children, twisted beings of cruelty known as Devils, and he hunted The Ferrymen.
As his devils destroyed all they could find, delighting in the torment and pain they ravaged, Indvolu found Kunri Uku, along with his followers, The Ferrymen. Delighted in finding his prey, he slaughtered The Ferrymen in front of Uku. Knowing he was breaking the rules, Uku fought back, saying Death was an inevitability that comes for all, and spilling his own blood, releasing his powerful soul from its body, speaking into existence a place beneath the Material and the Spirit. A place, where souls could be cleansed of their faults, and returned to the Material Plane. However, he also used this power to retrieve all of his followers. Those who had devoted themselves to aiding in the passage of souls, became Ferrymen again, and those who followed for fear of death, became Demons, to fight the devils. The world quaked and cracked, creating pits of endless depth that led to the new land. And thus, the underworld was born.
Eight incredible lights come from the sky, scattered across Ku'Eza, and from within each light, a person stepped forth.
In the capital city of Iyengar, a beautiful woman bathed in light appeared, of immeasurable power, and rallied the people together. It took ten days, but they defeated ever monster, fiend, demon and devil. After the battle, the soldiers, and all the people of the land bowed to her, raised a banner they had made for her, and asked that she lead them, as she had done in battle. So, the northern land became Koserryn, in honor of their new, chosen leader, Empress Koseh. The people were changed in the months to come, becoming something unknown, but with similar features of The Empress, and named themselves Kohsen.
With two new planes existing, the Spirits felt danger and dread. They had no agency in the events, whose consequences may be their destruction. So, they learned to travel between their realm and the Material, and found people that would watch over the places sacred to them, but in the Material. A relationship of mutual protection, through shrines and other strange methods. These women they bonded with, even had the power to bring them out into the material plane if they chose.
A group of ambitious mortals with no natural affinity for magic found a way to take the spoken language of magic, and for the first time ever, write it down. With this came spell books and tomes, and the age of Wizards.
A time of war, disaster, destruction, and death that ripped Ku'Eza in pieces.
As demons and devils reigned chaos on the Material Plane, a young halfling man fell to his death, just before the the love of his life, could answer his question. Enraged and determined, the dwarf woman made her way to the Underworld, to bring her love back.
Despite the still ongoing death and destruction, many mortals starting turning on each other, those of different cultures and beliefs blaming each other for these disasters.
Celestials, strange beings of another plane, gain entry to the mortal plane and immediately join the violent chaos.
Among those fighting in The Orphan War were many monks, clerics, warlocks and the like, as well as Isha. The loss of their faithful angered many Atva & Kunri, and they joined the fight, making their remaining faithful stronger, causing large scale disasters across the battlefield. The guides of life, began taking lives.
Ku'Eza quaked, and it's largest continent shattered. From the blazing depths, a creature the size of the highest mountain rose. He struck the ground beneath him, and all of the mountains before him fell apart, leaving towering creatures in their wake. His children, the Titans.
The children of Qorouth and his Titans, the Giants, rebel against their creators and fought alongside the people of the material plane
With hags now forming covens, creating more of themselves, and amassing power, they wanted soldiers. So the six covens came together, each coven bringing six children, and through a union of alchemy and magic bolstered by the golden moon, they transformed the children into their personal soldiers, twisted and dark.
The Dark Sisters, the largest coven of hags in all of history, were wiped out in a single night, and all their soldiers set free.
With the chaos happening on multiple planes, the noise of it all reached deep into the world, nearly it's core, and disturbed the dragons. One, the eldest Ragni, woke from his slumber and immediately broke free of his brothers and sisters, still driven by the rage and bloodlust that birthed him. Many other dragons were awoken by this as well, including some of Ragni's siblings, who followed him to the skies of the mortal plane to subdue him. Though many attacked the other warring creatures, in an attempt to silence them and keep them from waking The Great Mother before she was meant to wake. They attacked the creatures not of this plane.
Dragons, now known to Ku'Eza, battle to stop one of their own, but are also attacked by the monsters, fiends, demons, devils, celestials, and the Titans, because they are terrified of the dragons. Even some mortals attack the dragons.
Not all dragons are great in battle. Some took to becoming healers, teachers of magic, even going as far as to transform themselves to look like humans and the like. Through this, many would defy their non-combative nature, and master the skills of mortals in order to fight. Some would even start families with each other, and sometimes other mortals. This led to a period of somewhat peace for those lucky enough to be loved by a Dragon. As for the people that lived in these rare safe spaces, many had children that showed patches of scales on their skin, or natural affinity with dragon-like magic. By the third generation, some of the newborns looked like a union of dragon and two arm, two legged mortals. These chilldren were named Drakar
With Cebisa & Gola returning from the Underworld and settling down, many other dwarves and halflings settled nearby, believing they would be safer with her around.
A young Guinevere Imryll, fleeing extermination, finds herself in a strange forest, her magic dwindled from the curse placed upon her coven.
With The Cataclysms finally past them, a diverse group of survivors, whose original homes were deestroyed, start building their new lives.
