Elemental Immersion Therapy

Elemental Sickness is considered the worst disease one could contract in the entire world and has long been the subject of intense study by druids and other elemental scholars hoping to find a cure for the poor souls who must endure the "silence." It is only recently that a Firbolg druid named Luris Mossdale has been able to claim some success at healing those who suffer.   Several members of Luris's tribe were afflicted by the disease including his wife. Being a rather powerful elementalist himself, he spent years studying every book and scroll he could get his hands on looking for inspiration on how to treat his friends and loved ones. His studies, experiments, and even as his communion with elementals of all varieties was fruitless for a long time, so long that he almost gave up in despair. Perhaps it was luck or a product of his desparation, but Luris recently went back over long discarded notebooks filled with his earlier ideas and failed experiments and found one idea that he decided he gave up on too early. He summoned a whole host of benign elementals of varying types and placed them in a chamber with his wife. He instructed her to meditate for three days as she was immersed in their presence, despite being unable to see, hear, or feel them in any way. After the three days passed, he anxiously opened the chamber only to find his wife in the midst of these beings, talking and singing with them and beaming with unbridled joy. After a brief bout of euphoria over his success he went to other members of his tribe who were afflicted and had them each follow the same treatment. The success was not complete, but the majority of those treated regained some or all of their connections to the elements.   Following his successes, Luris has communicated with great druids across the world and early signs are that Elemental Immersion Therapy is the closest thing to a cure for Elemental Sickness that the world has seen since it was discovered. Only time will tell for sure, but it would seem that Luris Mossdale's name will go down in history for his wonderous discovery.
