Dwagi
Dwagi are short and sturdy creatures. Industrial and obsessed with wealth most Dwagi take to the mountains or hills. However, some take to quiet peculiar dwellings.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Dwagi are stout and stocky. Thick bones, and naturally large muscles make them excellent workers. They are humanoids with two arms and two legs. An average height for a dwarf is about 4'4".
Genetics and Reproduction
Dwagi reproduce sexually. With a pregnancy period of up to 16 months.
Growth Rate & Stages
Dwagi typically reach maturity at 25, they do not hit a puberty, they more or less go through puberty until they are 17. They begin growing beards when they are 10.
Ecology and Habitats
Dwagi prefer to live in mountains or hills, preferably underground. A complete settlement will be a large fortress built into the side of a mountain or rising above the hills. However some Dwagi have made colonies in the plains, swamps, really everywhere.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Alcohol is a need for any sane Dwagi. Nearly all Dwagi need alcohol to keep their digestive systems working. Some Dwagi have managed to overcome this from prolonged periods of time without alcohol. However most will just die a slow and painful death. Water can replace the need for alcohol in their digestive system but Dwagi really only do this if they need to.

Favor authority, one voice over all. However they still value personal freedoms.
Facial characteristics
Very rugged faces, they have more fat and muscle in their faces than most other species. Growing the largest beards seen in Kraki Dum they pride themselves on their beards. Only crazed or exiled Dwagi would shave.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
If there is a mountain range it most definitely has a Dwagi settlement. A subrace of Dwagi live in the hills surrounding Mountains and beyond.
Average Intelligence
Dwagi are smart, very good engineers and mechanics. Excellent when it comes to smithing, architecture and really anything industrial.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Dwagi are adept to seeing in the dark, they can see about 45ft in front of them as if it were bright light and to 100ft as if it were dim light. Dwagi excel in finding and identifying rocks, metal, and gems. They also can feel vibrations very well, giving them ample warning of a cave collapse or earthquake.

Naming Traditions
Dwagi are often named after events, items, ancestors, or something related to the time of birth. Or they just choose a name. Kings who have completed their Kalan Dar are often named after what great deed they did. For example King Adrakkazi's means "Of Dragon Axe" because he killed many dragons and forged an axe of dragon bone and Drakkazul.
