The Silver Coast

Geography

The Silver Coast is generally raised above sea level. Cliffs range along most of the coastline, occasionally opening up into beautiful bays and coves. Here, fishing is the most available resource, however, the name Silver Coast is mostly derived from the opulent imported riches that flow through the booming trade economy here. Out past the Silver Coast the Maelstrom rages, forcing trading vessels and other ships to stick close to the coastline and away from open waters, at least until the Silver Coast has been passed and the open water leading to Silus can be accessed. The Boneyard just beyond Seidon is another feature of the area, hosting myriad wrecked ships and home to the Sirens.   The Silver Coast is split into three regions. The Northern Coast borders the North Sanctum Sea and encompasses the entirety of Aegea. The Southern Coast encompasses all of Korinthos, Qutarnan and Silus.  The last portion of the Silver Coast is the Shimmering Gulf, an abnormal volume of water that glows faintly when it is touched. At night, it looks like a sea of swimming stars as fishes and other wildlife moves through its waters.
