Isric Settlement in Kohtalo | World Anvil

Isric

While not as well known as Outh Mean, the Vineyards of Isric are nothing to turn your nose up at. Sure, they may lack magic bearing ingredients and honey that is worth twice its weight in precious gemstones, but their wines are second to none in the world. I've heard tell that even elven vintners seek apprenticeships there.
— Jasper Cameron, Leader of the Bronze Ravens
Isric is located on south east of Jacy on the western edge of the Outh Mountains. As a matter of fact, if one were to go due west from where the Sapphire Sands and the Myrdhor Desert meet the mountains for, oh, 400 miles or so, it is rather easy to find. I hope you have a head for heights though. It is said that the cliffs are quite steep.   Crag cats and Flash Goats are the name of the game when comes to wild life in the area, along with what birds and rodents one would expect for a village sitting over 13,000ft above sea level.   What is truly amazing is that grapes even grow at such altitudes, but whether due to the volcanic ash the permeates the top soil, the unique nature of the ground water in the area, or something else entirely, the grape vines seem to not just survive, but thrive in this environment.   Wines as dry as the Myrdhor, Wines that can warm your body in the harshest winters around the world tree Yggdrasil. A port wine so sweet the even birds and butterflies avoid it. These and more are shipped out and delivered by the local branch of the Order of Half-Pints. Well, those that arent busy tending to and guarding the vineyards. And harvesting grapes. And mashing the grapes. And harvesting and charring wood as required to make barrels. and stirring the fermentation pools. Or rotating barrels to ensure proper temperature is maintained while not mixing up the settled out sediment. How do you think they all stay in such good shape.   The end result can't be questioned though. Wine so good even the gods appreciate it.
