Ghostspider Silk

I wouldnt say its the most dangerous job out there, but it takes a special kind of crazy to harvest Ghostspider silk. I still dont know if those that are best at it have a skill that others dont or were just born lucky.

There is a reason Ghostspider Silk is so prized. Regular silk is valuable enough, prized for its softness and temperature regulating properties. Ghostspider Silk is better in every way, and naturally magical as an added bonus. It would need to be, considering what one needs to go through to get it.
One must make their way to either Doceancot or Narrow Cliffs, from there get passage on a southbound vessel to the Ghostpider Isle. Upon making port in the Elven town of Sylm Aranae you can get what supplies you need before setting off into the Ghostspider Forest. Warm clothes are a must, and if you are serious you should get a dimensional anchor. It is expensive, but it gives you a better chance of coming back with whatever you manage to find. Mind you get one made in Sylm Aranae, as they know the buisness better than anyone else.
Depending on the season you will have to venture farther afield to find what you are looking for. Just know that once you set out into the Ghostspider Forest you are on your own. No rescue is coming, and if you dont return no one will find your body unless they end up in the same place.
Ghostspiders are so named because they can move freely between this world and the Ethereal freely, a property that their silk shares (and imparts on those who wear it). Should you get caught in their webs you will be pulled across with no way back, unless you got that anchor. They are ambush predators the size of a horse that can lurk in the ethereal plane until the moment they strike.

The Properties of Ghostspider Silk

Like regular silk, that spun by the Ghostspider has exceptional softness and wonderful temperature regulating properties. It holds enchantments better than any other fabric save Woven Gold Cloth. However, unlike Woven Gold it offers additional benefit, for those who know how to work it. One can bind Ghostpsider silk to a plane, allowing travel to and from that plane at will. While it is possible to make this binding to planes other than the Ethereal, it is only recommended to do so if one has intament knowledge of the plane in question. An plane shift in the wrong spot has led many an adventurer to an early grave.
