Long ago, the Principality of Balepeak granted the landed title of Winmeaveda to a noble belonging to a dynasty of high prestige. Over time, this dynasty married into the line of succession to the throne of Lospelia. Fearing a dispute to their empire, the then Emperor of Lospelia declared war over the disputed territory of Winmeaveda.   The wars fought were terrible, with both sides utilizing every advantage they had. All forms of magic, even necromancy, were used to their full force. In 1960 Sorgarun Era the final battle was determined by the two most powerful wizards of the time, Court Wizard of Lospelia Clectus Riccannios and Archmage Bocassius Staleus of the Principality of Balepeak. The war was named after the pyres of flame that erupted around the battlefield during their duel. In a blast of fire, Bocassius struck down Clectus, but not before Clectus cast a devastating spell that annihilated Balepeak’s forces. Unable to defeat the rest of Lospelia’s forces, Bocassius was forced to retreat.   Lospelia won the war, and Balepeak was forced to concede the territory. Now, 17 years later, the territory is disputed, and tensions remain between the two great countries.
