Archmage

The Archmage of the Grand Mages of Balepeak is a highly revered title, known across Kofos to be the most practiced and knowledgeable member of the guild.

Qualifications

Must be chosen by the previous Archmage and pass the Archmage's Exam, which is a notoriously deadly and difficult feat.

Duties

Reside within Frostpeak and be the head of the academy. Expected to know all current knowledge about the arcane arts, Archmages typically opt to magically increase the capacity of their memories and knowledge. This practice has led to controversy over their sanity, however it is still performed to this day.
Archmages are also expected to sanction research expeditions to gather more knowledge from magical anomalies that appear within the world, and potentially other worlds.
