Each represented population sends three electors to the Council. Between the three electors, they get one vote. These votes are used to pass laws, edicts, and proclamations. These are almost always for minor concerns, authorizing the fundraising for a new road or aqueduct, hiring mercenaries to go deal with a particularly thorny bandit problems. They also ratify treaties and trade routes.   Their primary and most important funciton, however, is the appointment of Edlers to deal with problems. Elector Councils are judged most often on the quality of Edlers that they appoint.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Electors wear eight signet rings stamped with the seal of the Elder Council which they stand on. After an Edler is agreed on, their sponsor will take off one of these rings and place it on their finger as a symbol of the council's backing. Additionally, Electors also wear purple capes or cloaks.
