Diadem of the Beloved Monarch

"My people have long searched for the diadem. It is our birthright and a beloved symbol of a kinder, more civilized past."   ~Darcassan Elasandoral, Aran of Doroinir Nimloth   This circlet was forged for La'shei kings by the High Sidhe and lost long ago. It is made from kadenium plates fastened together with mithril braids. A thumb-sized, priceless sapphire harvested from The Dreamlands adorns the plate in the front and center.   The High Sidhe known as The Beloved forged this diadem for Firitar, Seventh Aran of the La'shei Empire.. It is said that Aran Firitar grew contemptuous of those weak enough to be controlled, and built a harem of mind-controlled and brainwashed concubines from the wives of his generals. The diadem was lost when these generals struck his head from his shoulders and mounted it, crown and all, on a spike overlooking the throne of his successor. There it remained for several generations, until an unknown thief stole it.   Since then, it has sporadically resurfaced and it has been lost each time. Doroinir Nimloth in particular have a keen interest and high reward for its recovery.

Significance

While the crown is not considered a claim to any elven thrones, it is certainly desired by their kings.
