Education
As a Tirglasian prince, Hamish received academic lessons in internal and global politics, military and economics. These studies were hindered by a difficulty to focus on words, especially those in sentences. As the years went on, and his older siblings took up their mantles and had children of their own, the pressing need for him to remain up-to-date on many things fell by the wayside.
Hamish excelled in his physical studies, which involved horsemanship, swordsmanship, archery, hunting and wilderness survival. He also received a few brief lessons in sailing, but these were cut short when his brother-in-law drowned at sea.
His more recent studies have been in regard to magic and the politics of the Udynean court.

When it comes to archery, he never misses his target and is well-renowned as the kingdom's most elite archer, a title that he downplays.
