Darshan's Post-Khutani Sketch

This is a small painting done by the same artist commissioned to capture the image of Darshan vris Mhanek after he went through his Khutani. Originally one of a series of small sketches the artist used in preparation for the larger portrait, it was completed at the vris Mhanek's request.
The image depicts twelve-year-old Darshan and Zahaan (son to the vris Mhanek's elven nanny who would become his spymaster in adulthood) both grinning whilst one arm is draped over the other in a brotherly embrace.

Although there are plenty of portraits, and statues, depicting the vris Mhanek in various stages of his youth and even throughout his adulthood, this one is unique in that bears the only portrait of Zahaan.
