History

Founded at the creation of the Kingdoms in 9 of the Age of Flame, House Gibeault was assigned the task of maintaining the Kingdom's supply lines and ensuring that the Kingdoms never want for food or supplies. House Gibeault had already existed in some capacity prior to the official founding of the Kingdoms, growing to encompass much of the southwestern territory that would later become known as Grenesse. Following the official formation of the Cieran Kingdoms, the Rona formulated a series of fertility based rites that would allow Grenesse to grow into the agricultural powerhouse it is today.   The house entered a tumultuous period in 561 of the Age of Flame when all four male heirs were killed in an in a coup attempt. Gripped by desperation, the house's patriarch opted to transfer leadership to his firstborn daughter: Aspen Gibeault. Most believed the Gibeault girl would fail in her duties, and the house would cease to be within the decade, but to their surprise the house flourished. Aspen Gibeault went on to become one of the most well-known leaders of the Age of Flame, making connections with the newly created House Wright and granting them patronage towards the development of the first golem workforce. This foundation of friendship stands between the two families today, Norianne and Grenesse being eachother's primary trading partner. Aspen excelled in her duties to the point where the right of male succession was revoked, the house now opting to transfer leadership to the firstborn child as opposed to the firstborn son.
