Dietary Needs and Habits
Carnivores, common diet typically consists of fish, poultry, eggs, rabbits and game. Cats are fond of broths and prefer fresh meat to preserved, but do prepare salt fish, fish sauce, and charcuterie for travel and longer term storage.
Kibble is the food of the poor cats. Kibble is made with various grains, legumes and leftover scraps of meat, and baked to be shelf stable. This is typically served with oil (when oil is available) or soaked in water before eating.
Fancy Feasts
The wealthy cat's table includes a variety of delicacies: rich cheeses, fresh cream and butter from Camembert, elaborate aspics, delicate broths, wild game, colorful whole carp, veal, honeyed and spiced insects, pastries of custards and citrus curds.

Naming Traditions
Cat formal names are of the form Firstname Lastname von House. Noble cats are always associated with a house, but some cats choose to remain independent, particularly outside of the Cat Kingdoms.
Naming traditions vary outside of the kingdoms, with some cats using only a first name, and others using their house as their last name (common for cats in new houses.)

The major houses of the Cat Kingdoms are House Angora, House Rex, House Cymric, House Korat, and House Siberian.
The only public facing religious entity is The Illuminated Society of Mau.
