Angelic Calcite
Properties
Material Characteristics
Unrefined angelic calcite can be found in large chunks of clear or opaque white/yellow ore. Faint golden flecks can be seen inside the structure of the ore.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Unrefined angelic calcite has the ability to hide itself from mortal detection by appearing to be a plain rock of no value. Only angels, some demons, and the Nephilim can see angelic calcite for what it truly is. When refined by an angel, it has the powerful ability to hold and direct angelic power.
Geology & Geography
It is believed that angelic calcite deposits are scattered across the Earth, often in caves.
Origin & Source
When God created the angels, it placed numerous resources for the angels all over the Earth. These were minerals and plants that angels could use to help work their unique magic on Earth, as it was expected that aneglic magic would be too powerful to be worked openly at all times. These resources, including angelic calcite, were placed on the Earth as something the angels could work their power through, to more accurately direct their power and contain it.
History & Usage
Everyday use
Angelic calcite is often used by angels to channel their power or to create reserves of power for later use. This is especially helpful for those angels who frequently come into contact with other beings they need to fight. Angelic calcite can be worked into parts of weapons to enhance the angel's ability to channel their power into their weapons. It may also be used to ward items or locations in order to protect them from detection or trespass.
Refinement
Only angels can refine angelic calcite, as the work requires angelic power. This primes the calcite for later use. Refined calcite can be shaped in many ways, though the most common is in rods and spheres.
Reusability & Recycling
Refined angelic calcite can be reworked to be used for different purposes as needed.
