Telios Magi

Hailing from the Telios institute, the most prestigious wizard College of Cortezia, Telios magi are the company of mages whom act as the military wing of the institute. Highly skilled magi, with access to a number of the most destructive spells in Cortezia and the knowledge to use them effectively, the Telios Magi are said to be able to even fell a god with their combined magics. However, this may simply be a bi-product of the terror they induce on the battlefield, but their power should not be underestimated by any means.   History Originally set up as purely a defensive organisation, to protect the Telios institute and it’s people from the ever searching Elanthranian inquisition. As time moved on the organisation came under the command of the Rilian military, which changed the role of the military unit from a defensive one to offensive one.  From which point onwards when the Rilian lay siege to a city the Telios Magi were always on call, either as sting the artillery to bombard the city or infiltrate the settlement to cause chaos behind enemy lines.    The magic of the magi varies throughout the organisation, all of mages of the order are either wizards or sorcerers, with the latter in short supply. In addition they posses a royal decree to protect the Demi human population of the Rilian from subversive elements and serve the crown directly, meaning that their loyalty is paramount to the imperial office and cannot be used against it by any means.    Magic All of the magi utilise the arcane sea, drawing from it a well of power rarely matched by other mages. Having collected and safeguarded a number of tomes dangerous to power hungry students of the arcane, the magi have learned to safeguard this knowledge over time, developing new spells to counter growing threats which may seek to take that knowledge by force.
