Naraiwë Megil

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The impossible combination of mithril and adamantine that makes up the blade allow it to channel an incredible amount of power without ill effect and near immunity to the effects of hostile magic, while the bound soul of the fire bird from which it draws its name provides a nearly limitless source of power for it to channel. Since its consecration, an angel of Orion has inhabited the blade itself, regulating its power and insulating the wielder from it, allowing even greater heights to be reached.

Significance

Naraiwë Megil's mere presence in the hands of a servant of the New Canon Church of Orion has lent the organization incredible prestige and legitimacy, to say nothing of the victories its power has helped them to achieve.

Raw materials & Components
The mithril and adamantine alloy used to forge the blade and crossguard of Naraiwë Megil is not only unique, but should not be able to exist under any known set of physical laws. In addition, the soul of the only phoenix known to exist is bound to the stone in its pommel. Finally, the sword was consecrated to Orion and ever since has borne his divine blessing in the form of an angel bound to the sword to interface with its wielder.
Tools
According to legend, the ancestral power of the dwarves' Trueforge is so great that it can create artifacts out of metal scraps with a carpenter's hammer in the heat of a campfire. Naraiwë Megil was not given a chance to prove this legend true, it was forged in dragonfire on the divine anvil that forged the first dwarves using the hammer of a dead giant god.
