Stormhome
This island city is the seat of House Lyrandar, and Queen Aurala allows the house a free rein in governing the isle. It is the finest resort and vacation spot in Khorvaire. Spies, charlatans, sailors, and house agents all have a place in Stormhome. Even though the island escaped the devastation wrought during the Last War, it remains a hotbed for clandestine activities.
Lyrandar wizards use magic to continuously alter Stormhome’s weather, turning the otherwise bleak and storm-blasted location into a temperate island getaway.

Industry & Trade
Besides being the seat of House Lyrandar's power and its matriarch, Esravash d'Lyrandar, the island also is a port, with extensive dry-dock facilities for Lyrandar ships.
Stormhome's status as a tropical paradise has caused it to generate a thriving tourism industry following the Last War.
House Ghallanda has constructed a number of resorts on the island, and a number of Khorvaire's wealthy take vacations on the island including Queen Aurala ir'Wynarn of Aundair.

History
In 347 YK, House Lyrandar petitioned the crown of Galifar to set up a house enclave on Stormhome. Over the next three years, House Lyrandar used magical means to divert storms away from the island, turning the island from a barren rock into a tropical paradise.
Despite nominally being Aundairian land and protected by an Aundairian garrison, the island is often considered to be effectively owned by House Lyrandar, a possible breach of the Korth Edicts.
During the Last War, the island was considered neutral ground, and began being used as a meeting spot for diplomats and spies.
