Labarean Imperial Machinists
The Labarean Imperial Machinists form the technologically sophisticated branch of the Armed Forces of the Labarean Empire . Armored vehicles, exoskeletons, remote controlled golems and other gnomish contraptions characterize this branch. The Machinists count 100,000 soldiers, most of whom are gnomes, although humans are also found across its ranks. A number of small machinist divisions experiment with new technologies for warfare, in collaboration with the Board for Rapid Innovation and Gnomish High-End Tinkering (BRIGHT).
Structure
The Machinists are led by the Lord Mechanic, a senior ranked military engineer who oversees the different divisions and steers development of military technology in collaboration with tinkerers from BRIGHT. Each division of the Machinist has its own internal structure, depending on their role and technological focus.
Culture
The culture among the Imperial Machinist can be summed up by the principle that an enemy can only expect things that have already been invented. People across the world know the machinists for their creative, innovative approach to warfare.
