Siathi Warriors Military Formation in Keverynn | World Anvil

Siathi Warriors

Composition

Manpower

The size of a unit depends on which part of the Ryuutenshi Valley a unit is from as not all areas of the Valley are as densely populated.   The regions can field the following number of Warriors: Topaz - 450 Quartz - 190 Moonstone - 100 Jade - 375 Gold - 280 Sunstone - 245 Emerald - 235 Silver - 250   Technically, the Emerald and Silver Towers are in the same region, the Silver Tower is inside Throne City, home of the Queen, and has its own armed forces dedicated to the city's protection. The Emerald Tower Regional forces focus their attention on the region itself and have nothing to do with Throne City at all.

Equipment

They use armour made from silk and leather. Anything else impedes their ability to fight and fly simultaneously. While there is better armour available and they acknowledge the inherent vulnerabilities in their choice of armour materials, they rely on their manoeuvrability to increase their odds of staying safe.

Weaponry

While the siathi are generally a peaceful people, that doesn’t mean that they’re harmless. Each section of the Valley has its own standing militia, as does Throne City. These units are trained in aerial combat and in the use of a variety of weapons. The most formidable weapon used by the siathi warriors is called a kipha’ri. It’s a single-handed weapon with a curved blade. The outside edge of the blade has a jagged edge. It’s also common for them to utilize swords. Bows are uncommon as they’re difficult to use in flight.
