Basic Information
Anatomy
These dragons are characterized by a large, tri-lobed crest on their heads that extends backwards from their foreheads and curves slightly inwards. There are three short horns running up the center of the crest. Their skin is a thick hide. Their forelegs have four thin fingerlike claws while the hind legs have three massive claws.
Genetics and Reproduction
In practice, they can form monogamous relationships, but it’s not common. Males do most of the raising of the young once they’ve hatched.
They engage in physical combat over the females. The winner generally gets to pick his choice of mate. This fighting is quite damaging and is the source of many casualties among the red males.
They prefer heated sands to lay their rusty red eggs in.
