The Forgotten Coast
The Forgotten Coast is a rugged, untamed stretch of land that lies on the western side of the great Himhineldar Shel mountain range. Its jagged coastline hugs the Deep of Brentrial, an ominous and tempestuous ocean, while its northern borders fade into the desolate, barren expanse that is the Desolate Wastes. The Forgotten Coast is not a place for the faint-hearted; its cliffs, wild seas, and desolate terrain are home to dangers both natural and supernatural. The region is shaped by fierce winds from the west and the unrelenting forces of nature, giving it an air of mystery and untamed beauty.
The coast is often blanketed in thick mists that roll in from the Living Abyss, a vast and haunting bay where the ocean churns dark and deep. Few sailors dare to venture too close to the bay’s shores, for tales of massive, unseen creatures lurking beneath the waters abound. To the south, the Forgotten Coast borders the harsh, unforgiving desert lands of the Pridelands, with its dunes and scorching heat, further enhancing its isolation. While the region is sparsely populated, the few who make their home there are hardy folk, accustomed to living on the edge, often engaging in dangerous trade with the desert nomads or exploring the vast expanse of the wilderness. Despite its name, the Forgotten Coast is far from forgotten—it holds secrets, ancient ruins, and untold dangers that beckon those daring enough to uncover them.

Geography
The Forgotten Coast is a land defined by its harsh and unforgiving geography, shaped by the mighty forces of nature over millennia. The region’s western edge, where the land meets the Deep of Brentrial, is marked by steep, jagged cliffs that plunge into the tempestuous sea. These cliffs are often shrouded in a thick, misty veil, making navigation along the coast both dangerous and disorienting for sailors. The coastline is littered with treacherous rocks, sharp spires that rise like the fingers of some long-forgotten giant, and deep, hidden caves carved by the relentless waves. The ocean here is as unpredictable as the land itself, with violent storms and waves that can easily swallow an unwary ship whole.
Moving inland, the geography shifts from these coastal cliffs to the barren, windswept plains and rolling hills that dominate much of the Forgotten Coast. The land is dry and cracked, often covered in thorny scrub and sparse, twisted trees that seem to cling to the earth with desperate tenacity. Pockets of sparse, brittle grassland occasionally break up the otherwise rocky terrain, but the soil here is poor and unforgiving, making agriculture nearly impossible without considerable effort. The land gradually slopes toward the south, where it meets the scorching deserts of the Pridelands, and toward the north, where it meets the bone-dry wastelands of the Desolate Wastes. The land is harsh, with few resources, and even fewer people who would choose to live here, but those who do are fiercely independent and accustomed to enduring the land’s cruelty. Despite the challenges, the Forgotten Coast remains a land of mystery, with hidden ravines, dry riverbeds, and ancient ruins waiting to be uncovered by those brave enough to face its dangers.

History
In the days of the Draconic Age, before the creation of the Desolate Wastes, cities and towns existed there. They relied on fishing villages to bring food to them, as well as the trade roads which passed along the coast to bring goods and services from the Pridelands as well as over the Himhineldar Shel Mountain Range, past Wyvern Mountain, from the area that is now Ilithi and the city of Shard.
With the wastes uninhabited by civilized peoples, the coastline was all-but forgotten until forces under control of Lyras began using it to travel northwards. This forced the creation (and subsequent destruction) of the Bastion atop Wyvern Mountain, which was destroyed in 83BD.
Now, greenskins, Orcs, Goblins, and other horrors have laid claim to this coastline, murdering anyone who is foolish enough to travel there.
