Monongahela Forest Rangers
The Monongahela National Forest is divided into five ranger districts one of which is the Kepler district. Acting as police of the woods the Forest Rangers make sure the rules of the forest are followed as well as acting as normal police to due to the town being small enough to not need a real police force. The number of Rangers varies greatly between the seasons. In peak ski or camping season the numbers swell to around two dozen. While on the off season the numbers lower to around four to six.
Weird Rules
Over the rangers long history many incidents have happened necessitating the creation of strange or bizarre laws to enforce them. Here are some of them.
- No pigs allowed in septic tanks.
- Hanging communist propaganda in the woods counts as littering not free speech.
- No jazz bands past 7pm.
- All pet ducks must be kept within the campground or be considered wild.
- Ranger Chief Wayne 'Duck' Newton has been serving with the force for 8 years and replaced the last chief last September.
- Ranger Juno Divine she has served for 6 years and is second in command of the Kepler ranger station.
- Deputy Ranger Mike Charleston, this year is his second year on the force he does the odd jobs around the station.

Enemies
The Rangers and the Hornets have been enemies since their creation. The rangers frequently arrest members and have been trying to get them to disband. They are looking for one big break to get rid of them for good.
