The Surveyors
"Our Home Is Where Sky Meets Land"
The Surveyors are a nomadic people who see the land as sacred and believe that to map the world is to honor its bones. Wandering across deserts, swamps, and plains, they chart the shifting moon with reverence, treating every mountain, river, and beast as part of a greater, living whole. Their maps are works of art, etched on weathered parchment or carved into bone, prized across the world for their accuracy and beauty.
"A map is no simple tool drifter, it's an artifact of the divine. With a glance, you know lands your feet have never touched, rivers you've never tasted, and mountains you've never climbed.
What else but a touch of godhood lets you see the world without walking it?"
~It is said that no path is truly known until a Surveyor has walked it~

Technology
The Surveyors maintain a balance between ancient craftsmanship and practical innovation. Their technology is simple but highly specialized, designed to withstand the harsh and ever-changing environments they travel. Their maps, etched on leather and silk, are works of art as much as science, charting not only landmarks but the pulse of the earth itself. They craft ingenious pack saddles and harnesses to carry whole camps on the backs of Garru, and their herding tools double as weapons, crooks reinforced with tempered steel. Wind gauges, star compasses, and water diviners guide their way, blending ancient techniques with scavenged relics. To outsiders, their tools seem simple, but in the hands of a Surveyor, they unlock the secrets of the land itself.
The Signal Wardens are a small sect within the Surveyors tasked with maintaining the fragile and aging radio towers that dot the surface of Kenshi. Their lives of traversing the wastes has made them no strangers to the dangers the moon has to offer.
