Missions/Quests Completed

With the Death of Lorcan Mist and Nadarr awoke and buried their fallen if untrusted comrade. They laid his body on the old alter inside the blood oak, where the queen of night and magic used her fallen champion as a conduit to restore the corruption of her lover's domain. In death, Lorcan finished his mission and restored the tree into a gorgeous oak closing the portal into the fey for good. As a sign of respect, The Lord of the Hunt suspended Lorcans body ina crystal above his alter where he shall rest protected and honoured in the forest that his sacrifice freed from the corruption that Strahd von Barovich had infected into the land. To help reassert his dominion over this forest the Lord of the Hunt gifted Lorcans companions with a seed of life, an acorn with thick emerald veins pulsing with the essence of the fey wild.    This seed was used by Gondalin who channelled the magic of Mist and Nadarr into the seed restoring the ancient gifting tree in the centre of Slvok. For so long this tree had been a symbol of Strahds grip on the town, a symbol of hopelessness and horror. But now its rebirth broke the spell around the sky and for the first time in their lives the villagers are kissed by the suns rays, their bodies healed by its power. Lorcan's sacrifice for the town has been honoured with a statue atop the meeting stone where the memorial was already put in place by the regime.

Character(s) interacted with

Gondalin: healed the land around Slvok with the seed that the party retrieved. Gondalin accompanied the party to Karazhan where he acted more as a lookout than combatant as his aim was poor. Gondalin portrayed the gay lover of Nadarr during the opera and may have developed feelings for the Dragonborn during his performance.
Agrippa, Shield of the Crown: arrived at the gates of Slvok, which had been recently been repaired. Agrippa had come under the orders of Prince Anduin Wrynn, to investigate the strange going-on within Barovich woods. Agrippa informed Mist that he many years ago had witnessed Strahds true form within the courts of Stormwind, but without evidence and seeing his influence amongst the nobles, decided to bide his time and wait for the chance to investigate Strahd and discover his true nature. Which after being informed of his tyrannical rule and the horrors of Barovich Agrippa swore to save the people of the forest and slay Strahd for crimes against the crown.     Agrippa also brought with him his trusted squire; Crispus Agris, Manius Fjord, Durzo Stern, Patrica and Claudia Cleft. Unbeknownst to Agrippa Patrica and her young daughter Claudia are actually the parties original benefactor; Tatanya and her abomination of a daughter Scylla. although he was informed by the party when they were visited by Tatanya.   Agrippa is keeping a close eye on Tatanya and her daughter while laying plans to lure them out of the town where they can be slain without fear of collateral damage to Svlok and its people. Mist was very clear to this point and Agrippa heartily agreed and swore to make this up to everyone for he does not make this mistake lightly.
Tatanya: Tatanya attached herself and her daughter to Agrippa's small entourage as they passed through Pyre and headed towards Barovich Forest. Tatanya came into the forest after the party had finally defeated the Hags that had troubled them over the last month, and in doing so had cleansed the land of its fog and deep corruption. Tatanya wanted to remind them of who they served but in her apprehension being so close to Strahd again she let her anger dictate her. Tatanya has threatened the town of Slvok should the party not return to her with a book known as the Grimoire of Infinitus, which she believes to be located in the library of Karazhan. She also has made it very clear to Mist that should they fail Faina, the girl they rescued from the mines will be slain.
Medivh: The party had limited interaction with the crazed mage Medivh. He managed to suck them into his strange fragmented reality briefly unable to talk to them directly for he has lived there conversations a thousand different ways in a thousand different lifetimes in a thousand different realities. But Medivh told them to slay "Slygostraz", ut was unable to give them a reason, as they were snapped back to their own reality.    The Party also met a shade of Medivh; a fragment of his personality a younger crazed part. The Fragment attempted to attack the intruders to his tower, summoning strange eldritch horrors before being slain, and shattered into a thousand pieces. They are unsure of what has happened to the soul of Medivh but they managed to loot his personal chambers finding the loot described above.

Notes

The Party left their horses just outside of Old barovich; the ruined village surrounding Karazhan.    They discovered that feeding the runes scattered around Karazhan lit the Braziers in the towers strange ritual circle, which seemed to be a gateway according to Nadarr's inspection.    The Opera happened, where the party were invited by ghosts of Karazhan to take the stage and enact the play Rameo and Julietta. Although their take was more political with the star crossed couple of fame being turned into bigots against same-sex couples. The crowd, however, loved this rendition of the famous play and applauded the entire cast for their great performance.   A talking chest was opened, due to a clever Dragonborn wizard. "the password it's not hard!". "Soft?". open chest.   The ghosts did not move normally in the tower, they glitched around realities.   Durzo managed to tame Midnight, the once-proud steed of Medivh a pegasus of pure beauty.
