History
Vizada was an ambitious, feisty young Council Member, ready to take on and/or save the world, when she met Crown Prince Xeres. She enjoyed verbal sparring with him when they crossed paths in the hallways of the capitol, until one of their spirited debates triggered Xeres' weak lungs into an attack. The severity of his condition was not public, so she was shocked to see a doctor show up out of nowhere with oxygen to tend to the ailing prince. She apologized profusely, but he graciously assured her it wasn't her fault, and attacks had been triggered by less. That's when she began to see him as a person and not a politician, and their relationship only deepened from there.
History
Vizada has a good relationship with all her children, even if she doted on her youngest, Xeebec, a bit more than her daughters. She was actively involved in parenting them throughout their childhoods, and Vazali has many fond memories of her mother helping her with her homework, holding an umbrella over her as she ran all over the palace gardens trying to see a rainbow, and sitting up watching movies together when Vazali wasn't feeling well. She and Vazali rarely argue, but there is a little friction from time to time due to Vizada's sense of entitlement. As the descendant of a previous dynastic line and the queen consort of the current one, she is used to having the best of the best, and being treated with great respect. While Vazali also gets that treatment, she is more cognizant of the immense privilege they have as royals. When (and if) Vizada says thank-you to a servant, it's because such manners are expected of her and she wants to maintain her image; when Vazali says it, she genuinely means it.
History
They have a perfectly cordial relationship and are always happy to see each other, but neither are they especially close. Vizada has never had a reason to criticize Kazaneta's life choices. Painting is a hobby suitable for nobility. She dresses the part of a princess and never embarrasses herself or the family in public. She graduated with honors from the same private academy as Vizada and Vazali did. She married a man of noble birth and had two children (with a respectable amount of time between.) Unfortunately, Vizada has also never heaped extravagant praise on her middle child. To her, Kazaneta is not just "good enough," she's great...but she's also not exceptional. Kazie is laid back and not fond of limelight, so she usually doesn't mind this treatment. (Note that "usually" is not "always," however.)
History
Although Vizada tried very hard not to play favorites with her children, she couldn't help but dote on her youngest. After Xeres' death, Xeebec's physical resemblance to his father was both a comfort and a confusing source of pain for her. Xeebec also inherited Vizada's snobby, judgmental streak, but does a poorer job than she does of camouflaging it with formal niceties and unspoken implications.
