Personal history
Born into the prestigious Kumorai Family, as the youngest woman, Lucia would have normally been expected to marry into another noble family. However, her abnormally pale skin and reddish eyes caused people to speculate that she had been cursed or suffered some kind of magically induced change. Thus she was deemed unsuitable for marriage, and subsequently of little value to her family. Shunned by most of her family and hated by many in the community, Lucia turned her attention inwards, learning to manage finances by watching her grandfather Gelfreid Kumorai. His death, shortly following her 15th birthday caused her great distress, and the cold manner in which her family treated Gelfreid's death only served to further fuel her hatred of her family, eventually causing her to completely sever ties with them.
Given her status as an outcast she often spent her days helping out at the nearby orphanage, where she became acquainted with Ganerus Taloran, eventually earning a position as the orphanage's accountant. From here Lucia's hard work and diligence allowed her to quickly climb the ranks of the Taloran Family's staff, eventually becoming the assistant to Madrius Taloran.
After Madrius's death and Darcy's disappearance she has been tasked with managing the few holdings still under the control of the Taloran Family, while fending off rival houses seeking to stake a claim on the crumbling dynasty.
