The Faithful
Braditt's Seekers
More on The Faithful and their patron coming soon!
Primarily concerned with travel and gaining a wide variety of experiences, Braditt's Faithful are often called Sojourners due to their tenency to always have a new destination in mind. In the spirit of their chosen goddess the Faithful have next to zero presence or authority inside cities or other organizations that require them to stay in one place for too long. Although often called 'inquisitors', a word with some negative historical connotations in Allegri, the Faithful are not strictly militant or inclined towards violence. Along their many roads they do often learn ways to protect themselves from common dangers found in the wild however it is rare for any follower of Braditt to commit a crime, much less a violent one.
Many historical theologans agree that Braditt's influence on human culture through her religious following has been incredibly subtle but much more significant than it would first seem. Her very nature has encouraged humankind to explore, expand, and to a limited extent to conquor the wild forests and prairies of Allegri. Without any other cause to investigate these wild places the entire city of Stretto may not even exist, for if no human ventured into the deep elven forests there would be no alliance between the two and the Fortum elves would've continued their slow migration southward rather than settle in the north and collaborating with the new human settlers.
Historically the Faithful have been relatively benign compared to the various sects and religions that worship other primis. Even without the steady presence of their patron the Faithful have a wide-spread reputation for helping travelers who've lost their way or fallen prey to some other hazard. Truthfully, Braditt and many of her followers don't care about the wellbeing of others but see it as a responsibility to help others continue to travel - if that means helping a heblin caravan repair a broken axel or defending a convoy of merchants from kakornio raids as they ferry goods between the capitals, the Faithful are called to help even if they normally wouldn't be so inclined.
Those who worship Braditt above the other primis tend to be people who are already inclined to love exploring regions of untamed wilderness or ancient ruins. As a structured religion that actively seeks to explore and learn about the world around them there are many worshippers of Braditt who are highly educated, intelligent, and happy to leave the well trodden roads of the cities behind them to wander the natural trails and explore wilderness that hasn't seen a humanoid foot in centuries. In the past few years many of the Faithful have begun finding profitable and rewarding work with the Dannamore as explorers and observers to all kinds of new phenomena previously unheard of.
Braditt is a friendly and relatable deity which makes her lack of interaction with mortals seem strange. Most would assume she spends more time among the people but all primis regardless of thier personality and disposition tend to keep a distance and avoid having too much direct influence over the day-to-day lives of other species.
