Iabbo Military Formation in Kaos Rhythm | World Anvil

Iabbo

Lowest level of street thug that unofficially work for the Crimson Lily.   These unskilled thugs are usually found hanging out near one illicit warehouse or another and are most commonly called on as backup for the career criminals or professional highwaymen of the Crimson Lily. Less of a 'military unit' and more like 'brawling rabble' this group is made primarily of young men looking to make a name for themselves by developing skills relevant to the world of crime.   They are usually found hanging out near the building locally known as Boulderthorn Nest, a warehouse and hideout for the criminal cartel known as The Crimson Lily.   Anyone from any walk of life can end up among the Iabbo but those with a willingness to perform violence on others tend to last the longest and are the most likely to be recognized and raised above the common thugs that populat the Iabbo ranks.

Composition

Manpower

To higher ranking individuals among the Crimson Lily the Iabbo are all nameless fodder to be used and discarded as necessary. There are so many poor and downtrodden within the city that until an individual sets themselves apart from the common mobs that want to move upward in the organization.

Training

Since the Iabbo are an unrefined and disorganized group they receive no formal training as a squad or formation. Most of their learning comes from experience and those that don't die learn something in the process. Those who do die while while commiting petty crimes or operations for the Crimson Lily are quickly replaced by an equal number of unskilled wannabes eager to try their best to escape whatever circumstances in their lives that led the to living on the streets.

Logistics

Recruitment

Anybody can essentially show up one day and called to help with any task the genuine members of the Crimson Lily need. Even without 'official' tasks most people are considered members of the Iabbo. Once you're recognized as useful in some way and survive long enough you can be inducted into the cartel more formally but until then you work when someone points at you and says "Come here. I need you to..."
