The oasis cathedral began as a loving memorial to the tragic death of a colony of the oasis variety of driftvines that got caught in the crossfire during the Acquisition Wars and has continued to grow along with the ever expanding living city of Wildfire where it is located.

Description

Built entirely by various species of space dwelling flora, the oasis cathedral is a living structure that resembles a floating cathedral woven from crystalline leaves and gently glowing bioluminescent organisms. At its center, is a kind of reliquary that functions as the resting place for the colony of oasis driftvines who were killed. This reliquary is often referred to as the heart of both oasis cathedral and the entire city of Wildfire. It is in the shape of a perfect sphere that was formed, at the time of the tragedy, by living driftvines weaving together with those who had died, making it the oldest part of the cathedral.

Another impressive feature of oasis cathedral is its three enormous spires, one for each of the casualties, that rise up from the heart of this amazing structure. Over time, they have continued to grow in size and beauty as numerous varieties of driftvines weave themselves together creating intricate geometric patterns that form a truly exquisite memorial to those who were lost.

People from all over Kantostara travel to admire the breathtaking beauty of this living cathedral, but for the various species of space flora that inhabit the galaxy, it will always be a holy place of reverence. To this day, driftvines continue to weave themselves into the architecture of this sacred memorial and passing starseed vessels always pause for a moment of remembrance in honor of their fallen cousins.
