Non-Corporeal Dragozale (Drah-go-zah- lay)

And right then the ship stopped spinning and seemed to come to rest on solid ground that couldn't possibly be there. The stars were gone, just disappeared. In the brilliant darkness that enveloped them, they all struggled to understand what just happened. They peered through the viewscreen, squinting to make out any detail, but there was nothing except that eerie brilliant darkness. It seemed to shine in a dark sort of way.   Lu was the first to break the silence, but her voice was barely more than a whisper, "Chrys? Any idea where we are?"   The ship responded, "I'm sorry, but sensors are not reading anything at all." They all looked at one another suddenly feeling very small and unsure.   TZ voiced the question that they were all thinking, "So what do we do now?"   A booming voice responded, "What indeed?" so loudly that it shook the ship and everyone inside. Then a large magenta reptilian face with angry looking eyes pressed its snout up against the viewscreen and demanded, "Who are you and why have you landed this little bug on my property?!"   TZ whispered, "That couldn't possibly be a dragozale, could it?"   Ket replied, "Of course not. This can't be real."   Lu asked Ket, "Do you want to explain to the giant space dragozale that it can't be real?"   Sara added, "Cut it out you two. Blickering isn't going to help the situation."

DESCRIPTION

Once hatched, dragozale progress through twelve stages of physical life, and then upon reaching the thirteenth stage, they transcend the physical dimension altogether, becoming non-corporeal. This enables them to transverse all dimensions, timelines and environments including outer space.   While retaining their reptilian appearance and signature magenta skin pigmentation, non-corporeal dragozale often seem much more ethereal, even ghost-like. Most of the time, they appear to be translucent, but at other times, they can seem quite solid. In addition to the extraordinary sense of smell and sight of mature dragozale, the non-corporeal members of the species also possess great wisdom and the ability to communicate telepathically.   Most people consider non-corporeal dragozale to be nothing more than a myth, just a fairy tale told to amuse the children, so anyone reporting an actual encounter with one of these extraordinary creatures is generally considered to be delusional. For this reason, there is no scientific data about this stage of dragozale development, but that's beginning to change. More people are now braving ridicule to come forward to talk about their experiences and demand some serious investigation.
